How do you get a patchy beard to fill in?
You really want to pay attention to skincare if you're trying to fill in a patchy beard. Healthy hair follicles grow out of healthy skin, so you have to moisturize, make sure that your skin is clean, and make sure that your beard hair is conditioned. For a lot of guys, it kind of looks unruly when you just wake up, but if you put a little bit of oil on your beard, it makes a big difference. You can shampoo, and it will look super dry, but if you put a little conditioner and a little oil on there, it'll look ten times better.

What I have seen that worked is to grow out your beard, and even if it's still kind of patchy, take the clippers and take it down to a shadow. For some reason, it actually gets fuller. Of course, this is on a case-by-case basis, but just from what I've seen it starts growing out more evenly.
