I am planning on going to a dance but...
Listening to lots of different types of songs and practicing counting in your head is a great way to reduce anxiety about dancing, because if you can find the beat, then it's so much easier to move your body to the beat. You can actually turn it into a fun game when you're listening to a song on the radio or on Spotify; try practicing counting to eight while you're listening to the song. If you can find the beat, you're halfway there, because then you can translate body movement to the songs you listen to.

I think this is the number one tip that will help you reduce anxiety, and if you do this with lots of different songs, no matter what song comes on, you can count the beats in your head and put your body to the movement. Hopefully, this will help you increase your confidence big time!
