Horror movie recs for beginners that aren't too scary?
If you're trying to ease your way into horror, the best thing to do is probably to start with older horror movies. If you go back and watch The Exorcist today, it's not going to scare you the same way it probably would have in the 1970s. Times have changed, special effects have changed, and what you're experiencing is going to be very different. Starting with The Exorcist or The Shining, which are more creepy than scary, might be a good way to ease into the much more sophisticated-looking horror movies of today.
