In Terraria, the Eye of Cthulhu usually summons itself automatically if certain early-game milestones are met. If you want to force-spawn the Eye of Cthulhu, you can craft and use the Suspicious Looking Eye. Here's how to summon the Eye of Cthulhu in Terraria pre-Hardmode.

Things You Should Know

To summon the Eye of Cthulhu, have at least 200 max Health and 10 defense, 4 town NPCS, and wait until 7:30 PM in-game.
To force-summon it, craft a Suspicious Looking Eye with 6 Lens at a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar.
Use the Suspicious Looking Eye after 7:30 PM in-game.

The Eye of Cthulhu can be summoned automatically. This is one of the first bosses pre-Hardmode that players can encounter, as long as early game requirements are met. The requirements are as follows:
- At least one player must have at least 200 max Health (10 red hearts)
- At least one player must have 10 or more defense
- At least 4 town NPCs are present
- It must be night (7:30 PM in-game)

Obtain a Suspicious Looking Eye. This consumable item can be found in Gold or Frozen Chests in the Cavern and Dungeon, and Ivy Chest in the Underground Jungle biome.
- You can also use a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar to craft a Suspicious Looking Eye with 6 Lens.
