Did you listen to an awesome Spotify song, but you can't remember what it's called or who sang it? Thankfully, you can check your recently played songs on Spotify in just a few clicks or taps. In this article, we'll teach you how to view your recently played Spotify songs on both the mobile and desktop apps. Read on to learn how.
Checking Recently Played Spotify Songs
On mobile, tap on your avatar on the Home screen and tap Recents. On desktop, click the queue button in the bottom-right corner, then click Recently played at the top of the right-hand sidebar. Your most recently played song is at the top of the mobile list and at the bottom of the desktop list.
Steps
-
Open the Spotify app. Note that these steps will only work for the Spotify mobile app. If you're accessing the Spotify web player via your phone's mobile browser, you won't be able to see your recent songs. You will be able to see them, however, if you log into your account on the mobile app or desktop app.
-
Tap the Home icon. If you're not already on the Home tab, tap it at the bottom of the screen. It's the farthest left icon, and it has an icon of a house.Advertisement
-
Tap your profile picture. It's in the top-left corner. If you don't have a profile picture, you'll see an icon of a person instead.
-
Tap Recents. It's the third option in the menu, and it has an icon of a clock.[1]
- The most recent songs and podcasts you've listened to will be at the top of the list.
- To view only the music you've recently played, tap Music at the top of the screen, and then Played.
- The "Recents" list will show you what playlists or albums you've played recently. To see which songs you listened to from those playlists or albums, tap the arrow button to the right of the playlist or album name.
-
Open the Spotify app. Note that these steps will only work for the Spotify desktop app. The Spotify web player doesn't have a way to see which songs you've listened to recently, but you can see them if you log into your account on the desktop app or mobile app.
-
Click the queue button in the bottom-right corner of the Spotify window. The queue button has an icon of a pill-shaped rectangle with two lines underneath it. It's located to the left of the volume control, directly to the left of the icon that resembles a speaker and a computer screen.
-
Click Recently played. At the top of the sidebar, you'll see two tabs: Queue and Recently played. Click Recently played to view the songs you've listened to recently, in chronological order.[2]
- The most recent song you've listened to will be at the bottom of the "Recently played" list.
- The "Recently played" list has the last 50 songs you listened to on Spotify.
