Well, we’re here to fill (or fil) you in on the fast food chain’s Willy Wonka-esque sweepstakes, where fans could randomly find a Golden Cup and end up winning a year’s worth of chicken sandwiches, nuggets, or whatever entrée they like best! Keep reading for everything you need to know about this gilded fan contest.

How do you buy a Golden Cup from Chick-fil-A?

Order a Classic Cup from any Chick-fil-A. The cup will be in a bag, so you can’t see its design. If there’s a Golden Cup inside your bag, you’ve won a free year of Chick-fil-A meals—just scan the QR code on the cup for you to claim your prize! Note that this is lottery-based, so you can’t specifically buy a gold cup.

Purchase a Classic Cup at any Chick-fil-A location. To have a chance at getting the lottery-based Golden Cup, you’ll have to purchase a normal Classic Cup. You can purchase the cup by itself or as an add-on to any Chick-fil-A order, or you can order the Classic Cup Meal (which comes with the cup, an original chicken sandwich, medium waffle fries, and a medium beverage).^{[1]

- Your Classic Cup will be packaged in a sealed bag so that you can’t see the design (or if it’s a Golden Cup) until you open it!
- The cups themselves cost $3.99 USD (or $4.99 USD in Hawaii).
- Note: The Golden Fan Cup Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old. The contest is not open to any employees, officers, or representatives of Chick-fil-A Inc., as well as their immediate family or household members.
