How do I tell my parents I'm a therian?
I'm a therian, but I haven't told my parents yet and I'm not sure how they would react. I really want gear though, and I want to be in a place where I can safely be myself. Any suggestions?

Well, first I would see if they act weird about therians or maybe just the idea of them. (this is coming from a non therian myself...so, sorry if the advice is bad.) If their chill with em, I would maybe like prepare some kinda script, make sure to read it aloud to yourself first to make sure it makes sense. When you're ready, I would sit them down and let them know. But pleeassseee be safe about it! Good luck!!!

if they are super religious, weird about furries/lgbtq+ or dangerous (hopefully not lol) then dont tell them but otherwise pretend you have a therian friend and see how they react. if your at a sleepover text them about it (explain misconceptions so they dont crash) at the start so they have 2 days to get over it and when yoy come back you can talk. hope this hhelped

I'm a Therian myself and my parents don't support that so I hide it, (Which is prob not healthy for me lol) If your parents don't support it just say you want tails and masks for cosplay (That's how I got my gear) And since Therians look like they cosplay you might get the gear you need. (I'm not trying to seem rude what so ever I was just saying what worked for me.) I hope this helped!
