Alex O’Loughlin seemed to be everywhere when he was starring in the reboot of Hawaii 5-0. The show ran for 10 years, and O’Loughlin hasn’t appeared in other TV shows or films since, leading a lot of people to wonder what he’s up to.
Shortly after the show started, Alex O’Loughlin reportedly realized that he hated being a celebrity, and that stuck with him all the way to the end of the show. He prefers his privacy and has intentionally stayed out of the limelight. On top of that, Hawaii 5-0 was a very demanding show, physically speaking. According to the celebrity news site 9Honey, O’Loughlin suffered herniated discs, nerve damage, torn muscles, and other injuries while filming. CBS News reported that he ended up addicted to the prescription pain medication he was on for his injuries, although he has since recovered.
