If you have a Drakloak, you might be wondering how exactly you evolve it. Drakloak, which is the second evolution of Dreepy, evolves into Dragapult—which is regarded as one of the strongest Pokémon in the game. Thankfully, getting your Drakloak to evolve isn't a difficult process, just a time-consuming one as it requires your Pokémon to be a very high level. In this article we'll teach you how to evolve your Drakloak into Dragapult.

Things You Should Know

• Drakloak will automatically evolve into Dragapult when it reaches level 60.
• Drakloak and its evolutions require more EXP to level up, so leveling them will take longer than other Pokémon.
• Drakloak can only be found in Pokémon Violet; if you want one and have Pokémon Scarlet, you'll need to trade or Tera Raid Battle against one.

   Drakloak can be found in the wild in Pokémon Violet. In Pokémon Violet, you can find Drakloak in North Province Area One, Area Two, Area Three, Casseroya Lake, or Glaseado Mountain.

   • Alternatively, you can get a Drakloak by evolving Dreepy at level 50. You can find Dreepy at the following locations in Violet:
   • South Province: Area One, Area Four, Area Five, Area Six
   • East Province: Area Two, Area Three
   • West Province: Area Two, Area Three
   • North Province: Glaseado Mountain

   You must trade or do a Tera Raid Battle to get a Drakloak in Pokémon Scarlet. You can either trade with a friend who has Pokémon Violet, or you can use the Tera Raid Battle search function to find a 4-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Pokémon Violet player.

Evolving Drakloak

   Level up Drakloak to level 60. You can use Rare Candies, EXP Candies, or battle experience to level up your Drakloak. Once your Drakloak reaches level 60, it will evolve into a Dragapult. If you choose to use battle experience, note that Drakloak (and its evolutions) are part of the slow evolution group, which means they take the longest to evolve as they need more experience points to level up.

   • The reason for this is that Drakloak's final evolution Dragapult is known as a "pseudo-legendary" Pokémon. Pseudo-legendary Pokémon are more powerful than most other non-legendary Pokémon due to having naturally high base stats, which in turn makes them harder to raise.
   • If you don't feel like leveling up a Drakloak, you can catch Dragapult (in Pokémon Violet only) in 5- and 6-star Tera Raid Battles.

  Make sure you are not pressing the B button during evolution and that your Drakloak is not holding an Everstone, as both can prevent evolution.
