Why can't I see the ICCID on my iPhone? There are a few reasons why you might not be able to see the ICCID on your iPhone. Try these troubleshooting steps:[2]
    • Ensure your SIM card is inserted correctly and all the way, if your phone has a physical SIM card.
    • Update iOS, if you have any pending updates.
    • Make sure your phone is activated by contacting your carrier. An unactivated phone won't have an ICCID.
    • Get a replacement SIM card from your carrier if your SIM is damaged or no longer working.

What is an ICCID? ICCID stands for "integrated circuit card identification," and it's essentially a serial number for your SIM card. Both physical SIM cards and eSIMs have an ICCID. The ICCID is used for SIM card authentication, SIM card identification, roaming while in a foreign country, detecting unauthorized SIM card activity, and more.[3]
  3. 3
What's the difference between IMEI, ICCID, and EID? These three numbers are all used for identification, but they are all slightly different.[4]
    • IMEI (international mobile equipment identity) is 15 digits long and is an identifier for your physical phone.
    • ICCID (integrated circuit card identification) is 19 to 20 digits long and is an identifier for your SIM or eSIM.
    • EID (embedded identity document) is 32 digits long, and it is another identifier only used for eSIMs.

It's already on your phone. Your iPhone's SIM number is technically called the ICCID, which stands for Integrated Circuit Card Identifier. It usually consists of 19 or 20 characters, and is both printed on your SIM card and stored inside it. The ICCID is a unique serial number and is specific to your SIM card.
