The Twins can be a difficult hard mode boss to beat in Terraria. Start with step 1 to learn how to beat them with not too many 'high-tier' items easily.

Build a proper fighting area. The Twins mostly attack by charging, so a long skybridge (preferably made of asphalt) is recommended.
- You may keep multiple campfires or heart lanterns for faster healing.
- You can also connect heart and star statues through wires to gain hearts and mana at crucial times.

Gear up. The Twins are very fast, so Melee weapons are not recommended. You must have the following:
- 5-10 Healing Potions
- Lightning/ Frostspark boots
- Wings (If possible)
- Multiple buff potions
Advertisement
Titanium/Adamantite armor is recommended, it has a great set bonus and multiple buffs. If Titanium/Adamantite armor is not available, Mithril or Orichalcum armor will also do.

Get strong weapons. Weapons required are:
- A Ranged weapon/ Magic weapon
- Nimbus Rod if possible

Stand at an end of your sky bridge and spawn them.
Use it wherever you think it will hit the boss, and refresh them often.
When it is killed, focus on Retinazer.

Run back when you run to the other end of the sky bridge. At this point you are pretty vulnerable to their projectiles, focus on dodging them first.
It does the most damage.

Try killing a different mechanical boss (destroyer is quite easy), and create hallowed armor, as it is stronger than titanium or adamantite armor.

Twice as hard, so a good tactic is to focus on one first. You don't want both of them transforming into their second form at the same time, because one eye is melee and the other one is ranged. You'll be completely overwhelmed.

I'm having the same problem with the WoF. Just keep trying to avoid fire, bring lots of potions, and try finding more hives to get honey. It's super effective.
