How do I stop snoring so much?
In my professional experience, you’re best off learning to sleep on your side. Most people only snore when they’re sleeping on their back because gravity keeps all of the excess tissue in your throat (like the uvula, tongue, and tonsils) in the opening of your throat. This leads to blockages, and blockages lead to snoring. So, most people find that their snoring is much less significant when they're on their side. I know there are some pillows that claim they reduce snoring, and it’s possible they do in a very small minority of people, but it might make a difference because of their specific anatomy. For most people, they're not going to find a significant change in their snoring by raising the head of the bed or buying a special pillow. I’d just try sleeping on your side more often.
